A Day in a Fire Station

As part of their science lessons, our fourth graders toured the Stollberg Fire Department's fire station.

There, one highlight after the other awaited the curious children. First of all, they visited the fire station, including the changing rooms, the training room and a small control center, which is manned when there is a high number of incidents. Then they went to see the fire engines. The children were amazed at all the things that can be found on a fire truck. How and with which means one could cordon off an emergency scene was then even tried out practically. Spraying cans with the bucket sprayer was also great fun.
